Week 39 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I am getting much better and faster at my math.  I am doing my multiplication.

Language Arts:

I did the fixing paragraph stuff.  I forgot about the apostrophe thing.  Once I remembered I got it.

Science:   I learned about how glass is made.  It is made by molten sand.  The sand gets so hot it turns into a liquid.  It's really cool.

TECH: I built this NinjaGo Dragon!  It is the most EPIC Lego set I have ever built! I also built I basketball hoop for Beth's Dash robot.

Karate: I did my Kata this week.  I did Kata #1 and #2 and #3.  Kata is the word for forms.

Beth-

Math:  I counted backwards a lot.  I also practiced the clock.  I like fish.

Language Arts:  I am reading stories to my mom, she read the big one, and I read the little one.  It is the SAME PERSON!  Amelia Bedelia!

Science:  I learned how glass is made. It is made by sand heating up.  Then it cools up, and then it turns into glass.  My favorite part was watching people make a glass vase.

TECH:  I did Dash for Tech. I made him shoot balls into the basketball hoop my brother built.

Dance:  I did the dance of the sad unicorn.  I wanted my mom to take a picture of me being sad.

Week 38 19-20

Scotty-

Math: I did math from Minecraft book.  I also did math from my other book.  I need to learn division.

Language Arts:We did nouns, and we did hand writing.  I also am reading Bear Grill books. 

Science:   

We found out why birds have their babies in the spring.  In the spring there is food and warmth.  But mostly it's so the babies have time to grow up. 

TECH: I built an art museum. I even made a park next to it.  I did the famous art that we learned about.  I drew them from my memory!

Karate: 
I practiced my one steps. I did it still on the computer. I also taught my little brother to do it too.

Beth-

Math:  I like butterflies. I did a math page with butterflies. I wish they were pink.

Language Arts: I learned about reading. I am getting really good at reading.  Do you know I can read the games now?  I can tell where to go!

Science:  I learned why baby birds come out in the spring.  They have to have time to grow up.  I have seen baby birds!  They are in our trees sometimes.

TECH:  I had to build a house for my bird.  It had to fit the bird, but also it had to help the bird stay dry.

Dance:  I know that Easter is over.  But I still chose the Easter lesson. I liked helping everyone get ready for the Easter party. Ballet is pretty.

Week 36 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I did some more Minecraft math.  I need to learn division now...

Language Arts:  I did my spelling and handwriting.  I am reading the Bear Grills book on Mountains.

Science:   I am learning about birds, and how they live. I hope I can make the birds want to live my house I built.

TECH: I made my own world.  It's name is New Horizons.  My favorite part of my world was that it includes my world too and that I made a key for each of the symbols.

Karate:  I have a new video on YouTube I am doing.  I use the broom handle to do it.

Beth-

Math:   Still skip counting.  But I also do adding with chocolate chips.

Language Arts:  I read some new stories.  I liked this one because it was about gold and a dog.  I have a dog.

Science:  We made a pinata.  Did you know that if you take a liquid, it can dry into something hard.  It's called a solid.  Did you know that it can get super hard? 

TECH:   For my mom's birthday I measured out all of her stuff to make the cake. I don't like nuts as much as my mom, but I still put in A LOT of nuts.

Dance:  We did the lady bug dance on YouTube!  I would love to be a ladybug!

Week 35 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I learned about Geometry this week.  There are different angles and they have different names.

Language Arts:  I learned about common and proper nouns.  I also learned about this picture and the artist that did it to make the nouns. I also did my reading and my writing and my spelling.

Science:   We learned about face masks and how they work.  These ones keep our germs in ok, but not the Coronavirus.  It gets through these masks. 

TECH: This is my tech. I built a car.  It drives pretty fast.

Karate: I practice karate everyday. I need new things to practice.  My teacher is going to post new things on YouTube.

Beth-

Math:   I practiced my tens and other skip counting. I hope this I can be done and just remember them.  Mom said she mixed numbers and letters up too when she was little.

Language Arts:  I did my spelling and my writing.  I am getting SO GOOD at reading, I can read the games on the xbox pretty good now!

Science:  We learned about germs and how they go through so many things.  They live on things for a long time too.  We have to wash a lot.

TECH:  I made my own world. I called it Unicorn and Fairy Land.  There is purple water because it's made out of berries. There are different colored rainbows than in our world.

Dance: We had a dance party for my birthday! I am seven now, and we practiced the twirls and spins from dance class too! 

Week 34 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I did my Minecraft math.  I practiced my times tables again. There is some division but I don't know that yet.

Language Arts: I practiced my cursive again.  I did my reading a lot. I'm also did my nature book.

Science:  Is a human or an ostrich faster? An ostrich is faster than a human, but in the video he showed us, the human was really fast.  It wasn't too far behind the ostrich. Also we mad tin foil sculptures.

TECH: I built my birdhouse, all by myself!  I read the directions and did it all!

Karate: All I can do is karate online. I practice my karate every day!

Beth-

Math:  I did dividing things up.  I did it with my brother Scotty.  I also did adding and counting by five. I am learning how to read the clock.

Language Arts: We are reading Narnia books. I read with mom, and then she would stop and she would have me read some of the words.

Science:   We built sculptures out of tin foil.  Mine was a swan.  I was frustrated, but it worked out.

TECH:   I tried swinging on a long swing and on a short swing.  Long swings make you go higher and faster.

Dance: We did the dancing on the computer again. I like the lady.  Mom let me wear a costume.
