Tech:  I used the crank to build a project called earthquake.  and I did different things to see which one stood up longest!  It was really fun.  Then I built magic tracks with my brother and sister.  We used Legos and everything to make hills and stuff.  It was AWESOME!

Week 22

Scotty-

Math: In math I was adding up money and it was hard.  I also carried ones again. I did subtracting. I did a crossword puzzle.

Language Arts: I found the word chunks for the teapot.  My favorite part is the vowel chunks.

Science: We learned about why does the moon turn blood red during a lunar eclipse.  It happens because of the atmosphere.  It goes in the shadow of the earth.  And turns red because of all the sunsets and sunrises.  It would be like a big thing around.

Tech:  I built what was called crank.  It was a little machine with a motor, and there was a little part on it that you put on the ground and will be like you are cranking something.

Karate:  I got my kicking stripe in karate.  We were practicing agility and trying to get faster feet.

Beth-

Math:  I learned about the hundreds house and practiced writing it and saying it.  Then I played the matching game, where I matched numbers and things.  Like 1 and then 1 frog.

Language Arts:  I read a the cow on the fence.  And also I did really good.  And I had my mom help me.

Dance:  I had a different teacher this time.  Miss Tiffany, and she was a really nice person.  She had me learn a bit more different stuff, and we did some dancing that was very fun where we got to throw stuff in the air and it looked like popcorn, so we had a popcorn song.

Week 21

Scotty-

Math:  In math I did estimating.  I hated it.  It is really hard for me not to write the right answer and just guess.

Language Arts: I learned about Non-Fiction and Fictions.  Fiction is a made up story and non-fiction is when it's real.  The lady bug non-fiction was my favorite.

Science: This week we learned about how glass is made.  People make glass by taking sand and putting it in a really hot oven.  Then is comes out the other side as molten sand and then they let it dry and it's glass.  First they cut some of it off.

Tech:  I built a rover and I made it drive around the room and then I made it deliver a little hamburger I built to mom.  It had a sensor and a trailer and a lifting thingy.

Karate: I practiced blocks in karate, but my arm hurt so I had to leave early.

Beth-

Math: In math I learned about the hundreds place on decimal street.  It's even bigger than the tens and they were super tall.  It is hard to remember all the houses names.

Language Arts: I read a story about a mom fat fish and her baby small fish and the baby was on her back.

Dance: I was really happy to go back to dance this time. We were there early and so I danced in the empty room and it was really fun to twirl and twirl and not crash.

Week 18-20

Scotty-

Math: We learned about New Year's and the ball dropping in Time Square.  But it isn't the same here and all over the world!  So mom told us about the time changing when you move around the world.  Hawaii is different then here and Japan is different.  So we figured out the time where my family lives.

Language Arts: I read so many things this time because I got NEW POKEMON BOOKS!  Christmas got me new books and I am so excited about it!

Science: I learned about what is the coldest place on earth and it is the South Pole.  We learned about where bugs go in the winter.  Some die and their eggs keep living, and some kind of hibernate. Animals do it too, like frogs.  The frog didn't go very far under the mud, and it froze, and it had special blood that keeps it from dying.

Tech:  I built a race car out of Lego's and it went really fast.  When you move your hand in the front, there is a little sensor that makes it drive forward.

Karate: We were doing jumping front kicks and we tried to hit a pad and at first it was as high as our neck, Ryder came in first and I don't know where I came in.

Beth-

Math: It was New Year's, and did you know that it is different times at different places in the earth?  We figured out what time was the start over time in Hawaii and in Japan, (my uncle lives there!)  my brain thought that was crazy!

Language Arts: I did a puzzle of the alphabet. I read the book Princess Black.  She was a princess who was normal during the day, but she was strong and fought monsters sometimes.

Dance: I couldn't go to dance this week and I was sad. I love dance.  But it was Christmas. But mom had me watch the Nutcracker Ballet.  I loved it, they had such pretty dresses and spinned so good!  ON THEIR TOES!
