Week 31

Scotty-

Math: I did a math crossword puzzle and learned new words.  I also practiced all the stuff I learned again.

Language Arts:  I did some more spelling.  I also practiced learning vowels! 

Science:   We learned why earthquakes happen.  The earth pushes against itself and then bam! It cracks!

Tech:   I built Flex.  Well it moves kind of like an arm when it stretches from left to right.

Karate:  I got my purple belt this time.  It was there!  I finally got it!  I had to wait like four weeks.

Beth-

Math:  I had to practice writing by twos. It's hard to remember.

Language Arts:  I read another story this time.  There was sand and fan.

Dance:  So I danced.  I had a new teacher.  and then I did jazz and back bends.

Week 30

Scotty-

Math: I did more long addition. There were columns.  I did a review page too.  I remembered most the stuff.

Language Arts:  I did my Spell-U-See this week and I wrote my own story about a Pokemon names Zorua.  Their power was Shadow Ball.  I was Zorua's trainer.

Science:   We made a foaming monster.  It shoots foam out of it's mouth and it was so cool!  The vinegar and baking soda and dish soap mixed together and made the foam.

Tech:   In Wedo I did two things, just because I wanted to. I built crane and a Lego catapult. Just for fun.

Karate:  

They didn't have my belt.  All the purple belts were out of stock, and I was like ugh!  I did nun chucks.

Beth-

Math:  I am learning skip counting this week.  I learned to skip the 2 counting.

Language Arts:   I am getting better and better at reading.  I read my story this week, but I ALSO READ A SIGN!!!

Dance:  We  have a summer dance concert coming up!  I am learning the new dance.

Week 29

Scotty-

Math: In math I learned about adding columns and they were big numbers.  With hundreds and thousands.

Language Arts:  I wrote a letter to my friend Jett about how I like playing Pokemon.  On it a drew Greninja and Quillava.

Science:   We went to the Dinosaur Museum.  I sat on a stone Rhino.  I learned about the triceratops.  He is my favorite because he is so cool.  Because of his awesome strong horns and the crown like thing on his head.

Tech:   I built flower.  It spins around.  You make a Lego bumble bee and then you make a flower and when the bee goes over the flower there is a sensor and it goes BUZZ BUZZ!

Karate:  I didn't go to Karate this week because I threw up!  I threw up when I was getting my hair cut and it was gross.

Beth-

Math:  Today I did my math.  I added up numbers to make the answer.  It is harder than I think.

Language Arts:  I wrote a letter to my friend.  I also read a story.  I drew him a picture because writing is hard, but I did write our names.

Dance:  I had a new teacher again.  Miss Jamie keeps being sick.  But this lady did different things.  I did my cartwheel for reals!

Week 28

Scotty-

Math:  I was learning about rounding to thousand and ten thousands.  I did pretty good with it.  Then I did more perimeter.

Language Arts: I was writing down about things about the past tense.  Like we waited for the train instead of wait.  I got confused at some parts, but I figured it out.

Science:   We learned is Pluto a planet?  It is a planet but it's not a major planet, but it's still a planet.  Pluto has mountains and it's probably the coldest planet and 1 year is 248 years on Pluto.  That's how long it takes to go around the sun.



Tech:  I built Spin in Lego Wedo. I added th orange part on top of it, so it would spin cooler.  It was super fun.

Karate: I passed my test for my purple belt.  I am going to go get the belt tomorrow or this Thursday.  I didn't feel like I did very good at first, but I passed!

Beth-

Math:  I added things up in math.  I liked adding things up, but it was a little hard. 

Language Arts:  I read another story.  Reading is going very good, most of time it's easy, but sometimes I forget a few sounds.

Dance:  I learned something new when you turn and clap.  Also, I love to dance!
