Week 14 19-20

Scotty-

Math: More six times tables.  They are the trickiest so far. I like the story problems because we would use those in our real life.

Language Arts: I did handwriting and reading.  I am reading  THE BFG.  I also finished James and the Giant Peach and it was super good.   I liked when the mean aunts got smashed by the peach.  I also planned a clean up for our neighborhood with my friends and I wrote the invitation myself.

Science:  We learned about the earth and how there is no one to pick up our trash.  Did you know that the earth can clean up all the stuff it makes itself.  But we make stuff it can't clean up.  So me and my friends cleaned up all the people garbage!  Everyone came!  I was so glad!

TECH:  I built a windmill.  AND I turned it into a helicopter!  It was AWESOME!

Karate: In Karate we were practicing my forms.  We did really cool warm ups.  You had a partner and so you would do 50 push ups, 50 jumping jacks, and 50 windmills AND we did FORTY on my team.

Beth-

Math: I did counting by fives in my math.  I also figured out more puzzles.

Language Arts: I did describing words. I also did my handwriting and my reading.The road in the story made me laugh.

Science:  We learned about eggs.  Why don't people eat ostrich eggs?  They do eat them, but the reason people don't eat them more is you have to drill a hole to eat them!  There was a giant bird that lived before the ostrich and the egg for it was equal to 125 chicken eggs!  If we don't keep taking care of our earth other animals could die too.  So we need to clean it up, like our house!

TECH: I am building all the things all by myself. I did the whole boat by myself!

Dance: Dance was good this week, and we just practiced my Christmas dance this week.  I also practiced spin leap and the side.

Week 13 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I kept reviewing 6 times and puzzles.  Then I did puzzles with my dad on six times.

Language Arts: I invented my own state and maps.  It included Pokemon and Zelda in my state!  I finished James and the Giant Peach this week, and I started The BFG.  I love them.

Science: I studied maps and different parts of the earth.  Like mountains and lakes and roads.



TECH:  It wasn't a weight!  It was like a granfather's clock! It took a whole minute to get all around the circle!

Karate: My class is getting better.  But I still want to pass off two belts! We used swords.

Beth-

Math :I did lots of adding things up and figuring out how many more I need. I used unicorns and puppies to figure it out!

Language Arts: I practiced my handwriting and read some more of the new way.  The new way is hard because it doesn't have the clues.

Science: We learned about mountains and water.  I like lakes and I want to live by one.

TECH: I built a city around my club house.  I changed the roof to an ice cream roof because I like ice cream too.

Dance: I love my dance class! I love twirling and whirling and I love my friends!  I love being a sugar plum fairy too!

Week 12 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I did multiplying by sixes.  I had to practice with puzzles and solve with 6's.

Language Arts: I practiced my handwriting and cursive. I did my 20 min of reading with Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. I also learned to read maps.

Science: I learned about who made constellations. They don't know for sure who started the whole thing, but lots of places would make them.




TECH:  I think I am making a scale. I am not positive.It has been fun to play with and use.

Karate:  I started my new class. I don't love the class and I miss my friends, so my goal is to level up 2 belts on my next class so I can be with them.

Beth-

Math: I did some more puzzles with trying to figure out the missing numbers.  It makes my brain think in a new way so I can learn.

Language Arts:  I studied a new painting and found the light and dark shadows. I found rhymes with it.  I did my handwriting and learned a new story. 

Science:  We learned about stars and how they make pictures.  I like the horse one even though it doesn't make so much sense.

TECH:  I built the fort that I made up.  I made the flower roof!

Dance: 

Week 11 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  We are skip counting by threes.  I also did yards.

Language Arts: I read a big story and I did oral reporting on it.  The story was about The Good Rain.

Science: 
We made pancakes to go along with the syrup lesson and also learned more about plants and their kingdoms.

TECH: 

I designed my own Pokeball!  It even has a middle secret hole! I can hide stuff in it!  Maybe a Pokemon?!

Karate:   

I got my new orange belt!  I passed my test!  Woo hoo!

Beth-

Math: I found the missing number in math.  And it was fun!  Like a mystery!

Language Arts:  I read a story about an eagle and a horse.  I also practiced my handwriting.  We read part of Samantha's birthday.

Science:  Mom made us banana pancakes!  We learned about syrup last week, but mom made us pancakes this week... just because I wanted them so much!

TECH:  This week I designed a clubhouse to build with Legos.  So I'm building it next week.  The flower roof is going to be cool, but super tricky.

Dance: Dad took me to dance cause mom was sick.  I practiced your Christmas dance.   It really is a fall dance actually.
