Week 27 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I did practicing this week. I did perimeters and fractions and mutiplying. 

Language Arts: I am reading my book some more.  We are also reading The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe out loud and I like it more than my book.  I did labeling of the map.

Science:  In science I did some experiments I got in a box. I grew crystals, but it is a big project that will take a long time.

TECH: I built something that I don't understand. It looks like the beginning of a dog thing that walks. I don't know where we are going here.

Karate: We did nunchucks this week.  I hit myself in the head like five times and once in the eye.

Beth-

Math: I practiced stuff I already knew, but I have to practice it and remember it.  I love doing tallies, but I sometimes forget how many lines.

Language Arts: I read new stories about how to make smart choices.  I also practiced telling the differences of b's and d's.   I got 100%!!

Science:  I made crystals with my brother.  We made BIG ones! They looked like diamonds.

TECH:  I built a clock.  It turns in circles. It looks like a dog clock.

Dance:  My little sister has pneumonia.  I got a big cough, so did all of us, and it won't go away.  I didn't get to go to dance class because mom says we can't share it.  3 weeks of coughing is TOO LONG!  I did dance to the nutcracker movie we were watching.  That was fun dancing. I wish I had a crown on my head and danced on a stage!

WEEK 26 19-20

Scotty-

Math:  I was doing reviewing of the math.  I did okay, but it was hard.

Language Arts: I read some more stories.  I also practiced my handwriting.

Science:  We watched a movie about animals because we were so sick.  The best was about how the scorpions would glow in the dark.


TECH: I finished building the thing. It can walk now.  It is so fun.

Karate: I practiced my kicks, and back kicks.  I want to catch up to my friends.

Beth-

Math: Counting by twos is hard.  I always write my numbers backwards. I practiced writing my fours a lot.

Language Arts: I am just reading and reading. This story is 2 stories before I know what the end is like.

Science:  We learned about animals and where they live.  We learned about animals at night.


TECH:  I built the teetor totter all by myself.  Sometimes I mix it up and then I figure it out.

Dance:  I finally got my new teacher.  I like her a lot.  I also get to be with my friend.  We did lots of ballet and kickings.

WEEK 25 19-20

Scotty-

Math:   I am practicing my times tables and long subtracting.  I got a lot wrong this week and it made me mad.

Language Arts:  I practiced my hand writing and I read my book.  I also learned about verbs and adverbs. 

Science:  

I learned about what it's like to be a twin.  They talked about how people will mix people up.  They
told stories about what happened to twins in school and stuff..


TECH: I built part of something. I don't know what it does yet, but it does move across the table!

Karate: I got my blue belt this time.  I practiced my stances, shuffling forward, and to the side.

Beth-

Math: I am doing Life of Fred with my brother Scotty.  He reads it to me and I do my problems by myself.  I also added big numbers.

Language Arts: I just keep reading and reading. I also did my spelling.  I like the reading the best.

Science:  
I learned about twins and how they are looking the exact same, but they are not the same.  People mix them up.  They grow in their mommies tummy together. I want to be a twin.

TECH:  I built this lifter all by myself!  I like that it is a robot just for me!

Dance:  I have a new dance class because Miss Jamie doesn't teach my class anymore. I have a new teacher, Miss Tiffany.

Week 24 19-20

Scotty-

Math: I did some reviewing.  I did times, and subtraction with big numbers reviews. I like my Minecraft Math Book. 

Language Arts:  I wrote my report on Costa Rica.  It was fun to look up all the things about it.  I also interviewed my cousin who has been there.  I want to go there some day.

Science:  I learned about Chimpanzees.  They make platforms that they sleep on.  They eat nuts and figs and fruit.  They eat leaves and ants.  They have families and they are mammals. They have babies and they feed them.

TECH: We did tech with my friend.  We built a jungle gym and we played with it.

Karate:  I passed my karate test!  I am going to be an eighth blue belt.  I did it!

Beth-

Math: At math this week, we did some more of the tally marks.  Also I added and subtracted.

Language Arts: I read a lot.  I matched pictures and words.  I read it and I did it myself!

Science:   So it is that the mother monkey died.  She got striked by lightning and got lost and died. I learned that they have babies and families.  Then when the baby was trying to crack a nut he hurt himself.  Then the baby used a rock and he cracked it. 


TECH: I built a jungle gym with my friends.  There was a place that I got to do some pull ups!

Dance:  Dance was with Miss Jamie.  I started a new dance when you turned and it was a Lion King one.
