Scotty-
Math: I added math squares. I also did rounding. Is it closer to 90 or 100? Anything from 95 or up is rounded to the 100, anything that's less than 95 gets rounded to the 90.
Language Arts: I read a poem and I wrote down the poem on my spelling. I learned about vowel chunks. Little Boy Blue was the poem. I also read the story of The Hero of Haarlem. The little boy saw a crack in the dam and he was delivering cakes to his friend. He got really scared and he plugged his little finger into the hole, because if he didn't then the hole would get bigger and bigger until it flooded the whole town. He kept his finger in the hole all night and he didn't fall asleep because he knew if he fell asleep his finger would come out of the hole. Then in the morning his clergyman found him and helped and was a hero because he did his duty.
Science: Today the question was, What is the biggest spider in the world? We learned that there are 2 depending on longest or biggest and heaviest. the Bird spider or the Giant Huntsmen. Spiders have eight legs and lots of eyes and their all different. They usually don't hurt people and some are cute, like the jumping spider. There is a craft you can do to see how fast you can get your spider to the fly.
Tech: I made Milo the science rover from 2 weeks ago and I added a tilt sensor that sends a Lego message to the computer and I made words pop up on the computer when I do it right.
Karate: I learned a spinning back kick. Caption America does that kick in lots of shows and games. It was REALLY hard and I wanted to give up. But I didn't! And I learned it!
Beth-
