Week 11

Scotty-

Math:  In math I learned how to use place value to do double digit math.  To make 79 do 62 plus 17.  but I made it 60+10= 70 then 2+7=9 and then together that's 79.

Language Arts:  I am still doing the Little Boy Blue poem. I am learning to spell it and write it.  I a, still doing vowel chunks.  I wrote down the poem and I only did one backwards letter and 2 capitol letters but they should have been lower case.

Science: 
We learned about Why are pumkins orange.  Us humans made pumpkins be orange by only planting the most orange ones seeds.  And you can make pumpkins be different shapes by putting them in a container when they are little and they will grow to be the shape of the container.  One person made a pumpkin have a face!  It was funny, it's like a tiki face.

Tech:

I had my friend Jeffrey over, so we could do calibrating with our Lego Wedos.  We made Milo again.  This time we made both our Milos pull the plants specimen from two weeks ago.  We also made out Milos have a race, just for fun.

Karate:  We did fight sequence, we practiced combos.  We had to stand 10 feet away from our partner.  My partner had only been there 2 weeks.  His attack was mostly center punch and then a high punch. I learned a jumping front kick and round and side.

Beth-

Math: I learned about circles.  I counted all the ones that were the same color.  I also did new things.  You had to find out which is circles and which isn't.

Language Arts:  I learned a new sound, no word I learned the word "I".  I just have to remember that word.  I also read a story about ants that were racing.  But it said that it wasn't a duck, it was an ant.  And one of the ants did and we all had a good time racing.

Dance: I didn't have dance this week, because it was Halloween so I did my monster dance for mom.
